Aston Villa and Sheffield Wednesday are reportedly interested in signing Middlesbrough’s forgotten man.
The Sun are reporting that Aston Villa and Sheffield Wednesday target Jordan Rhodes will be available for £12 million in January.
The 26-year-old hitman moved to Middlesbrough from Blackburn Rovers for an initial £9 million in February of this year, but has failed to establish himself as a regular starter for the Teessiders, and has made just two Premier League starts for Aitor Karanka’s men so far this season.

The Sun also report that Steve Bruce would be keen to incorporate Rudy Gestede into any kind of deal for Rhodes.
Although £12 million seems rather steep for someone who has hardly played this year, Rhodes does possess a goalscoring record that can be matched by few in the game.

His tally of 172 league goals in 340 outings is evidence of his prolific nature, and he is highly experienced at playing in the Championship.
Villa and Wednesday would surely benefit from having the Scotland international amongst their ranks, and the goals he could potentially bring to both sides could prove vital in their chase for promotion to the Premier League.
