According to Football.London, Arsenal defender David Luiz and boss Mikel Arteta are no longer even on speaking terms.
However, Arsenal and representatives of Luiz have ‘strongly’ denied this claim, stating that Luiz has a good relationship with his boss.
The Gunners lost once again on Sunday night, falling to a 1-0 home defeat to Burnley as Arteta’s struggles go on.
Luiz picked up a concussion against Wolverhampton Wanderers two weeks ago, and whilst he is ramping up his return, he wasn’t involved against Burnley last night.
Luiz is a key part of the Arsenal dressing room and an experienced head, so having a soured relationship with him would certainly be a blow for Arteta’s hopes of turning this situation around.
Mesut Ozil and Sokratis Papastathopoulos have both been exiled by Arteta, and if Luiz ends up going the same way, Arsenal will be losing even more Premier League experience at what is a difficult time.

Arsenal fans will now be wondering whether this is true. Chris Wheatley, the author of the piece, tends to be a reliable source, and isn’t backing down on the claim despite Arsenal and Luiz denying it.
Similar claims emerged over a training ground spat between Luiz and Dani Ceballos; they were denied too, but ended up being true in the end.
We’ll now see whether Luiz is involved in the Arsenal starting lineup in the coming weeks; if not, some may start to believe that this story is true after all.
