According to Sky Germany, Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka fancies a return to the Bundesliga in the near future.
It’s claimed that Xhaka is looking to make a move back to Germany despite his contract with Arsenal still having more than two years to run.
Xhaka was a Bundesliga star with Borussia Monchengladbach, turning out almost 150 times for Gladbach following a 2012 move from Basel.
That earned him a huge £35million move to Arsenal in 2016, and he has now played more than 200 times for the Gunners.
It hasn’t always been smooth sailing for the Swiss ace; he had a run-in with Arsenal fans last season and was heavily tipped to join Hertha Berlin.
Maybe they will be back in the race; after all, they will be sending Arsenal loanee Matteo Guendouzi back to the Emirates Stadium this summer.

Xhaka has been hailed as ‘phenomenal’ by Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta, meaning the Gunners would hate to see Xhaka leave.
Still, Xhaka knows German football well and it’s closer to home, meaning the rumours aren’t a huge shock – but whether Arsenal will deal is another matter.
