Liverpool’s links to Hull City defender Andrew Robertson just won’t go away, as The Mirror now claim that he is hoping the Reds move to sign him this summer.
Robertson, 23, has been a regular for Hull since joining the club from Dundee United in the summer of 2014, and he flashed real potential in the Premier League this past season.

The Scot notched one goal and two assists for the Tigers as they suffered relegation to the Championship – and that has left Hull vulnerable to losing key players like Robertson.
One club desperate for a left back are Liverpool, and they have been regularly linked with a move to sign Robertson in recent months, with The Mirror now claiming that the player himself is hoping for a move to Anfield.

Jurgen Klopp has been left unconvinced by Spaniard Alberto Moreno, meaning he used right-footed midfielder James Milner at left back last season – and a natural left back should be signed this season.
Robertson certainly fits the bill for the Reds, and his performance against England on Saturday afternoon suggests that he has a future at the top level ahead of him.

Whilst Robertson’s alleged desire to play for Liverpool would be a boost to Klopp if he really is targeting him, they face stern competition from Premier League rivals Burnley.
The Clarets are also believed to be keen on signing Robertson as manager Sean Dyche looks to build on a strong first season back in the Premier League, with Robertson potentially seen as an upgrade on Stephen Ward at left back – and it remains to be seen whether Liverpool do make a move to sign Robertson this summer.
