Dimitri Payet would reportedly cost just £15 million in the summer of 2017 if West Ham United get relegated from the Premier League.
Dimitri Payet will be able to leave West Ham United for £15 million in the summer of 2017 if the club are relegated from the Premier League at the end of the season, according to The Times.
It has been reported that the France international attacking midfielder is one of several players at West Ham with relegation clauses.
The Hammers are also reported to be interested in negotiating a new deal with Payet which could see his current weekly salary of £125,000 rise.

“West Ham may seek to remove or increase the relegation clause during the renegotiations given their poor start to the season, although it is unclear whether the player would accept such terms,” adds the report in The Times.
Payet scored nine goals and created 116 chances in 30 Premier League appearances last season.
So far this campaign, the 29-year-old has scored one goal and created 47 chances in 12 league games.
The former Marseille star is a good player, and there would be a few clubs in the Premier League who could be willing to sign him for £15m in the summer of 2017.
The Hammers should be lauded for inserting the relegation clause in Poyet’s contract, as it allows them to get a decent transfer fee.
According to The Times, the London club paid French outfit Marseille £10.7m in the summer of 2015 to secure the services of the attacking midfielder.
