Watford’s Isaac Success could pursue a summer move away, with West Ham allegedly keen.

According to All Nigeria Soccer, West Ham United could rekindle their interest in signing Watford attacker Isaac Success at the end of the season.
Success, 21, starred in Spain with Granada, hitting six goals in 30 games for the La Liga side last season before making a move to Watford last summer.
The Nigerian was billed as an exciting signing, but he has started just twice for Watford this term, with a further 17 substitute appearances, reaping just one goal and one assist.
The arrival of M’Baye Niang in January hasn’t helped Success’ pursuit of playing time, and All Nigeria Soccer claim that Success could look to leave Vicarage Road this summer.

It’s stated that Success wants talks with Watford when the club appoint a new manager to gauge his future, having seen his playing time limited under the now-departing Walter Mazzarri.
The report adds that West Ham United are keen to land Success, and his priority would be to join the Hammers if he isn’t promised first-team football by the Hornets next season.
West Ham certainly need attacking reinforcements this summer, but whether Success is the answer is another matter entirely. His entire goalscoring record over the course of his club career is just 17 goals in 95 games, giving him a goals to game ratio of worse than one in five.

That’s not the kind of record West Ham need to be gambling on having tried and failed with Simone Zaza and Jonathan Calleri last summer, and whilst Success has pace and power, as well as versatility given that he can play out wide or up front, he doesn’t look to be the answer for the Hammers.
A proven goalscorer is what manager Slaven Bilic needs, and a move for Success would suggest that West Ham haven’t exactly learned their lessons from last summer’s disastrous transfer window.
