Newcastle United winger Valentino Lazaro is said to be desperate for a starting place in Steve Bruce’s side, by the Shields Gazette.
Lazaro joined Newcastle in January, but he has mainly been used as a rotational option so far.
Lazaro scored for Newcastle against Bournemouth recently, but was only picked to start from the bench against West Ham United last weekend.
RB Leipzig, who will compete in next year’s Champions League, are now said to be monitoring the situation carefully, and if Newcastle don’t make a move, they will look to swoop in.
The German side feel that Lazaro could make a smart addition, and the Shields Gazette claim that he could be available for £20 million.

Lazaro may find that move appeals, but he is also reportedly open to staying at Newcastle if Bruce decides to make a bid.
The Inter Milan loanee may get his chance to start tomorrow, when the Magpies take on Manchester City, as Bruce has already confirmed that Allan Saint-Maximin will be rested.
