Tottenham snapped up Serge Aurier from Paris Saint-Germain on Thursday.

According to Sky Sports, Serge Aurier chose a move to Tottenham Hotspur over Chelsea and Manchester United, partly because of the presence of Mauricio Pochettino and Daniel Levy.
Spurs had snapped up Paulo Gazzaniga, Davinson Sanchez and Juan Foyth before deadline day, but were busy on the final day of trading, as they brought in two new signings.
Spanish forward Fernando Llorente was a late arrival from Swansea City, whilst earlier on deadline day, Tottenham completed a deal to bring in Paris Saint-Germain right back Serge Aurier.

Having sold Kyle Walker to Manchester City this summer, Tottenham needed to bring in another right back – and they went for Aurier, whose drive and attacking ability down the right flank makes him a potentially ideal on-field replacement for Walker.
Question marks may hang over his off-field conduct, but Aurier looks to be a smart addition and something of a coup for Tottenham, with Spurs seemingly seeing off Premier League rivals Chelsea and Manchester United to his signature.
Sky Sports claim that Aurier picked Spurs over both clubs, with the report claiming that manager Mauricio Pochettino and chairman Daniel Levy were both huge factors in Aurier’s decision.

Pochettino has been a draw for many players during his time as Spurs manager, with Aurier potentially fancying his chances of settling down under the Tottenham boss, with the right wing back role perfect for his style of play.
It’s unclear just how the Ivorian feels that Levy is a factor, but the Spurs chairman runs a tight ship in North London, and Aurier may well feel that negotiations with him went well, enabling the deal to go through.
Spurs will hope that Aurier gets off to a great start, and with two men seemingly convincing him to sign, it goes to show that Tottenham do have pulling power in the transfer market – regardless of what Danny Rose may suggest.
