Celtic are pushing to sign Toulouse defender Christopher Jullien.

According to the Daily Record, Toulouse defender Christopher Jullien is interested in signing for Celtic this summer in what could be a club-record move.
Jullien, 26, has impressed with Toulouse since returning to France from Freiburg in 2016, and his performances appear to have attracted Celtic’s interest in the process.
L’Equipe reported on Wednesday that Jullien has already visited Celtic’s facilities ahead of a potential move, and the Scottish press have now offered an update on the situation.
It’s claimed that English clubs are interested in signing Jullien, but he’s interested in signing for Celtic, as he believes they offer him a pathway into Champions League football next season.
Celtic had been quoted £8million for Jullien, but are now expecting the price to reach around £10million – which would be a club-record deal for the Bhoys.
Jullien is a huge centre back at 6ft 5in tall, and would fit the bill as a proven centre back of a good age as Celtic look to replace outgoing Dedryck Boyata and Filip Benkovic.

Celtic won’t want to let the price go any higher though, and with English clubs – famously high-spending – lurking, they’ll want to get a deal tied up soon.
£10million for a centre back would be bold after the £9million signing of Odsonne Edouard last summer, and a move would actually see the pair reunite having featured at Toulouse together.
