Tottenham Hotspur could let Christian Eriksen go on a free, if it makes financial sense.

Tottenham always intend to sell players before they reach the final two years of their contract, if they have not penned a new deal.
However, Levy has been willing to sacrifice for Eriksen, as he knows the importance of the Danish midfielder to Mauricio Pochettino’s plans.
Tottenham could now reportedly let Eriksen leave on a free, if they are unable to agree a deal with him.
The playmaker has a season and a half left on his current contract at Tottenham, and he still has not put pen to paper on new terms.
With interest growing in the attacking midfielder, Tottenham are desperate to keep hold of him.

And Levy is currently exploring whether letting Eriksen go on a free would actually be a possibility.
Tottenham would have to sell Eriksen for a cut price if they let him go now, and may prefer to simply keep him around for another 18 months than to offload him for cheap.
Eriksen is said to want over £140,000-a-week to sign a new deal with Tottenham, and Spurs are still hopeful that an agreement can be made in the coming months.
