The Daily Mail report that West Ham United’s goalkeeping coach Chris Woods is poised to leave the London Stadium in order to link up with Bruce at Villa Park.
Woods, 56, will be a familiar name to many having made over 40 appearances for England during the 1980’s and 1990’s, and has carved out a successful coaching career too.

After 15 years with Everton, Woods moved on to Manchester United in 2013, and then joined West Ham in the summer of 2015 – but now he’s on the move again, this time to Aston Villa.
With a young, inexperienced goalkeeper in Pierluigi Gollini, Villa boss Bruce may feel that he needs a veteran presence to coach the Italian – and Woods may well be the perfect man for the job.
