The Sheffield United boss is said to want his front line to emulate one part of Manchester City’s game in particular.
Chris Wilder and his Sheffield United strikers have been studying Manchester City, according to the Guardian.
Third-place United have scored the fewest goals of any top-six Championship club, finding the net 20 times in 15 games.
And though regular pairing Billy Sharp (6) and Leon Clarke (4) are already into double figures between them, the Blades boss is seemingly keen to squeeze more goals out of his front line.
In an interview with Wilder, the Guardian reports the United boss has had them observe top flight leaders Manchester City, in the hope of ‘[emulating] their near-post runs from low crosses’.
City have scored the most league goals (35) of any club in England’s top four divisions, despite having played in some cases as many as six fewer games than those lower down the ladder.
And Blues quartet Sergio Aguero, Raheem Sterling (both 7), Gabriel Jesus and Leroy Sane (both 6) account for all but nine of those.
