The report in the British tabloid has claimed that Manchester City are facing competition for the Northern Ireland Under-16 international from Chelsea and Leeds.
It has been claimed that Brannigan ‘may be enticed by the impressive development of academy prospects at Stamford Bridge’.
Exciting prospect
Cole Brannigan is just a teenager now, but he is very highly rated and is one of the best young players in Northern Ireland at the moment.
Brannigan was part of the Northern Ireland Under-15 national team that played against their Chelsea counterparts in February 2022.

The Northern Ireland Under-15 tam won 4-0 against the Chelsea Under-15 side at the Premier League club’s training ground near Cobham in Surrey.
Brannigan played against the Blues.
The teenager scored the opening goal for the Northern Ireland youngsters.
Brannigan came close to finding the back of the net again in the final stages of the game, but his effort came off the bar.
In July 2022, Brannigan played for County Antrim against Leeds in the Junior section at the Riada Stadium in the STATSports SuperCupNI.
