Report: Chelsea want Kurt Zouma back from Everton

Kurt Zouma joined Everton on loan from Chelsea in the summer of 2018.

According to The Liverpool Echo, Chelsea want Kurt Zouma to be part of their squad for pre-season training.

Zouma is on loan at Everton from Chelsea at the moment, having joined the Merseyside outfit in the summer of 2018.

The 24-year-old central defender is scheduled to return to the London club at the end of the season.

The Liverpool Echo has reported that the France international central defender is wanted by Chelsea to be part of the pre-season preparations.

Blow for Everton

According to The Liverpool Echo, Everton want to secure the services of Zouma on a permanent contract in the summer transfer window.

However, Chelsea’s reported plan regarding Zouma means that the Merseyside outfit are set to suffer a blow in their plan to keep the former Saint-Etienne star at Goodison Park beyond the summer of 2018.

Zouma – who earns £40,000 per week as salary, according to Spotrac.com – has been superb for Everton this season and has played well for Marco Silva’s side.

According to WhoScored, the 24-year-old centre-back has made 28 starts and three substitute appearances in the Premier League for the Toffees this season, scoring two goals and providing two assists in the process.
