Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool are reportedly looking for at least £20 million for Jordan Henderson, having seen Chelsea get that transfer fee for Kalidou Koulibaly.
According to The Athletic, Al Ettifaq want to sign Jordan Henderson from Liverpool in the summer transfer window.
The England international midfielder is willing to move to the Saudi Arabian club, who have offered him £700,000 per week as salary.
Although Liverpool are open to selling Henderson, they want at least £20 million for the £190,000-a-week (SalarySport) midfielder.
That is the transfer fee that Chelsea got from Al Hilal in the summer transfer window for Kalidou Koulibaly, according to The Athletic, who have noted that “Liverpool regard that figure as a reference point”.
Koulibaly, who moved to Chelsea from Napoli in the summer of 2022, is 32 now.

Henderson turned 33 last month.
Liverpool paid Sunderland £20 million in transfer fees for Henderson back in the summer of 2011.
Liverpool should sell Jordan Henderson
In our opinion, if Jordan Henderson wants to leave in the summer transfer window, then Liverpool should sell him.
Even if Al Ettifaq do not pay £20 million, Liverpool should still let the midfielder go.
Perhaps the two clubs could come to a compromise and do a deal for around £15 million.
Henderson has been very good for Liverpool over the years.
The midfielder has played his role in the Merseyside club winning the Premier League, the UEFA Champions League, the FA Cup and the League Cup in recent years.
Henderson is 33 now and is clearly not the player he once was.
If the Englishman is keen on a move to Saudi Arabia, then Liverpool should not make it hard for him and try to do a deal with Al Ettifaq.
Henderson made 23 starts and 12 substitute appearances in the Premier League for Liverpool last season.
The midfielder gave two assists in those games.
