Chelsea will reportedly move to sign Leeds United star and rumoured Arsenal target Raphinha after they have wrapped up the deal to bring England star Raheem Sterling to Stamford Bridge.
According to the Independent, the Blues are keen on overhauling their attack this summer, with Sterling set to become Todd Boehly’s first major signing as owner of Chelsea, with the American businessman next setting his sights on Raphinha, who is expected to leave Leeds this summer.
A £60m target for Arsenal, Tottenham and now Newcastle United, the Brazilian international is one of the most in-demand players in football this summer, with Mikel Arteta’s side already having a bid rejected for the Elland Road superstar this month. And now, Chelsea are entering the mix for Raphinha.
The 25-year-old was a key reason behind Leeds remaining in the Premier League last season, and the winger’s performances have caught the eye of many top sides in Europe, though it appears that a move to another English side is the most likely outcome for Raphinha this summer.
Indeed, Chelsea could be an ideal club for Raphinha, even after the signing of Sterling, given how much quality the Blues need in their forward line, with Romelu Lukaku set to leave for Inter Milan on loan and the futures of Christian Pulisic and Timo Werner also up in the air.
With the Blues now set to make their move for the Brazilian, Arsenal could find themselves in a bind to land Raphinha despite leading the charge for the winger for the majority of the summer.
Chelsea could sign Raphinha with Boehly eager to make instant impact

Boehly had changed plenty behind the scenes already at Chelsea since taking over the club, and the American already knows that if he is to win fans to his side, big-name signings will do just that, which is where Raphinha comes into the picture.
Whilst Arsenal are an alluring club for the Brazilian, the prospect of UEFA Champions League football and a guaranteed starting spot will be a massive pull for Raphinha, and this could help Chelsea land the winger once Sterling has made his move to Stamford Bridge.
