Tottenham Hotspur are braced for concrete interest in another of their England full-backs, this time from Chelsea.
It is claimed the Blues have made Rose their leading target for the role, but would have to offer £50 million to pique Spurs’ interest.

In an interview with the tabloid last week, Rose was critical of Tottenham’s transfer and wage policies, but later issued an apology.
His manager, Mauricio Pochettino, had previously failed to rule out the 27-year-old’s sale, telling Talksport: “Like I said before… the decision is always up to us: sell (the) player or not.
“That is another rumour (like there) was before with Harry Kane, Dele Alli, Danny, Hugo (Lloris), Toby Alderweireld… many, many players.
“Then we only decide to sell Kyle (Walker) to Manchester City, for different reasons, but I think that we are not a club that need(s) money… to sell. That is rumour and if an offer arrives we’ll see what happens.”
Manchester United have also been credited with interest in Rose, who told The Sun of his intention to one day return to his native north.
And Tottenham’s alleged bid for Fulham’s teenage left-back Ryan Sessegnon on Tuesday would appear to suggest the Lilywhites are preparing for the England international’s exit.

The Daily Mirror reports that Spurs, who are also said to be keen on Sessegnon’s twin brother Steven, have seen their £25 million offer turned down for the player, who only recently signed a new deal at Craven Cottage.
