Chelsea look to Thiago Maia as they prepare a possible move for the young Santos FC midfielder.
With Chelsea’s Italian manager expressing an interest in bringing the teenager to Stamford Bridge in the summer, the Mail has reported that the Premier League club look primed to return to Santos with a concrete offer.
The West London club were rebuffed in the current transfer window, with Santos showing a reluctance to let one of their star players leave before the end of the current Brazilian season. Maia, a defensive midfielder, has two goals in 73 appearances for the club.

The Mail has also reported that Chelsea are looking at a number of targets as they look to bolster their squad options in January’s transfer window, and into next summer.
Conte’s side have reportedly made enquiries about Hoffenheim defender Niklas Sule ahead of a possible move, whilst Roman Abramovich’s side will also look to welcome back one of the many players they currently have on loan, with Andreas Christensen being brought back in to the fold in West London from his spell at Borussia Monchengladbach.
