Bruno Lage’s Wolverhampton Wanderers are going to bid for Chelsea target Sasa Kalajdzic again in the summer transfer window, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The well-known and well-respected journalist has reported on Twitter that Wolves are ready to make another bid for Kalajdzic after his club Stuttgart turned down an offer of €15 million (£12.80m) for the 25-year-old.

Romano has added that the striker himself wants to move to Wolves, who need to pay €20 million (£17.06m) or €25 million (£21.33m) for the Austria international who is also being pursue by Chelsea.

Earlier this month, The Daily Mail reported that Chelsea are interested in signing the 25-year-old striker.

Could a transfer happen?

In our opinion, Wolverhampton Wanderers should hurry up and secure a deal for Sasa Kalajdzic in case Chelsea make a bid of their own.

Wolves know what they have to pay for the Austrian, and if they are really keen on him, then they should get a deal done now.

Chelsea themselves are looking for a new striker, and there is speculation that they may not sign Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from Barcelona.

The Blues could make an offer for Kalajdzic, especially as they would be able to sign him for just £21 million – a sum that that they can easily afford.

Kalajdzic has given three assists in three Bundesliga appearances so far this season.

The striker scored six goals in the league last season, and scored 16 goals in the league in 2020-21.
