Crystal Palace are reportedly set to sign Loic Remy on loan from Chelsea.
Chelsea’s Loic Remy
According to Sky Sports, Crystal Palace are set to complete the signing of striker Loic Remy on a season-long loan deal from London rivals Chelsea.
The Eagles made a big move for a new striker earlier this month as Liverpool striker Christian Benteke joined in a club-record deal – but manager Alan Pardew doesn’t seem to be happy with his attacking options just yet after scoring just once in the first three Premier League games this season.

Connor Wickham has yet to justify his move from Sunderland, and with the transfer deadline drawing ever closer, Pardew looks set to sign another striker before Wednesday night.
Sky Sports report that Chelsea striker Loic Remy is set for a move to Selhurst Park, with the Frenchman set to pen a season-long loan deal with Pardew’s men.

The 29-year-old striker, who joined Chelsea from Queens Park Rangers back in the summer of 2014, has been mostly used as a backup at Stamford Bridge, scoring just 12 goals in 47 games for the Blues, though many of those appearances came as a substitute.
Remy has proven himself in the Premier League before though, hitting 14 goals in just 26 games for Newcastle during the 2013-14 season, where he worked with Palace boss Pardew to great effect.

A reunion is now on the cards for the pair, and Remy will provide another major boost to the Palace attack, handing Pardew the opportunity to play Benteke and Remy up front together in a potentially lethal partnership.
For now, it seems that Remy’s move will be a season-long loan deal, but given his lack of first-team football at Chelsea, Palace may well look to make the move permanent next summer if he impresses under Pardew, as he has done before.
