Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal want to sign Armando Broja in the summer transfer window, but Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea will give him a chance in pre-season, according to The Athletic.

The Athletic have reported this morning that Chelsea manager Tuchel will give Broja the chance to impress in pre-season.

West Ham United are among the clubs who are interested in the Albania international striker.

The 20-year-old, linked with a move to Arsenal in the summer transfer window, spent the 2020-21 season on loan at Southampton.

Broja made 21 starts and 11 substitute appearances in the Premier League for the Saints.

The striker – described as “clinical” by Newcastle United legend Alan Shearer on Premier League’s YouTube channel in February 2022 – scored six goals in those games.

Earlier this month, The Sun reported interest from Arsenal in Broja, claiming that the Gunners have already registered their interest in him.

Could Arsenal sign Armando Broja from Chelsea?

In our view, Arsenal cannot wait until pre-season to sign a new striker. We think that the Gunners should move on from Armando Broja.

Yes, Broja is very talented and is promising, and given that he is only 20, he could be moulded into a player in Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta’s image.

However, the Gunners cannot wait until Tuchel has judged him in pre-season training at Chelsea.

If Arsenal are really determined to sign Broja, then they should make a move in the coming weeks.

Or else, the Gunners should look elsewhere for a striker.
