Chelsea are the latest side to enter the race to sign Arsenal midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain as his future in North London looks increasingly uncertain.

According to the Mirror, with the England international about to enter the final year of his contract with the Gunners and with him currently unsettled at the Emirates Stadium, the Blues are ready to capitalise.

The West Londoners join Liverpool and Manchester City in the pursuit of Oxlade-Chamberlain, who admitted last October that he may need to leave Arsenal in order to get more regular game time.

However, since then Arsene Wenger has utilised the 23-year-old more often and the Englishman was widely praised for his performance at wing-back in the 2-1 FA Cup final victory over Chelsea in particular.

Wenger is keen to keep hold of Oxlade-Chamberlain and the club have held talks with him about staying, although as yet no concrete offer has been made.

The ex-Southampton man certainly offers versatility to any club that might sign him, with the ability to play in central midfield or on the wing and has now developed as a full-back as well.
