Chelsea are reportedly keen to sign the Arsenal ace.
According to a report from the Daily Mail, Chelsea are set to launch a £30 million bid for Arsenal star Aaron Ramsey, as the west London outfit look to take advantage of the fact that the Welshman has just 12 months remaining on his current deal at the Emirates.
The Gunners will be desperate to keep hold of the 27-year-old this season, with Unai Emery rumoured to rate the midfielder very highly indeed, but their hand might just be forced, if they fail to tie him down to a new long-term deal.
The Daily Mail claims that new Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri is a big fan of the way that Ramsey plays, and is prepared to part with £30 million to bring the Arsenal star to Stamford Bridge this summer.
Good signing for Chelsea?
Ramsey, on his day, really is one of the best attacking midfield players in the Premier League.
The manner in which he times his runs into the opposition’s penalty area is similar to the way in which Frank Lampard played during his successful spell with the Blues.
The Wales international possesses a wonderful engine, and he would provide Sarri with an entirely different option in the middle of the park.
Arsenal will surely be desperate to keep hold of Ramsey, though, and will surely resist any overtures made by Chelsea this summer.
