Mauricio Pochettino’s Chelsea are now being linked with Federico Chiesa of Juventus.

According to TuttoJuve, Chelsea want to sign Federico Chiesa from Juventus in the summer transfer window.

The report in the Italian news outlet has claimed that Chelsea are “interested in acquiring the player’s services” this summer.

However, according to the report, the former Premier League and UEFA Champions League winners have yet to make a bid for the Italy international winger, who is “often simply unstoppable for his opponents” according to the Juventus’s official website.

Should Chelsea bid for Juventus winger Federico Chiesa?

In our opinion, Chelsea should not rush into making a bid for Juventus winger Federico Chiesa in the summer transfer window.

Yes, Chiesa is a good winger and has played 42 times for Italy.

And yes, his weekly salary of £54,000 (SalarySport) is quite low and Chelsea cold easily better that.

However, the Italian has had injury problems in recent times, and that affected him last season when he eventually returned to action.

Chiesa is not at his best at the moment, and it remains to be seen if and when he is able to rediscover his brilliant form before his long-term injury.

Newcastle United and Aston Villa have also been linked with Chiesa, so Juventus could make it a bidding war.

That would make a potential deal for Chiesa tougher for Chelsea, who do have the likes of Raheem Sterling, Mykhaylo Mudryk, Callum Hudson-Odoi and Noni Madueke to play on the wings.
