Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea have made a bid for Tottenham Hotspur target and AS Roma midfielder Nicola Zalewski, according to CMW.
Chelsea have bid for Tottenham target Nicola Zalewski
CMW have reported that Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain have made offers to Roma for the 20-year-old.
However, the bids are not good enough for Roma, who are looking for €50-60 million (£42-£50 million), according to the report.
Chelsea’s reported interest and bid for Zalewski comes just days after a report in the Italian media claimed that Tottenham head coach Antonio Conte is keen on the Poland international.
As we covered here on HITC Sport, CalcioMercato reported on July 22 that Conte has told Tottenham Managing Director of Football, Fabio Paratici, to go all out and sign Zalewski, adding that the former Inter Milan and Chelsea manager is ‘crazy’ about him.

Could a transfer happen?
In our view, if AS Roma continue to insist to sell Nicola Zalewski for around £50 million, then a transfer to Chelsea or Tottenham Hotspur is unlikely to happen.
We do not think that Chelsea or Tottenham are going to pay that much money for a 20-year-old midfielder who has played only a handful of matches in the first team for Roma.
The Poland international midfielder made nine starts and seven substitute appearances in Serie A for Roma last season.
