Chelsea youngster Levi Colwill is open to leaving Stamford Bridge amid interest from Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal among other clubs, according to 90min.

Arsenal target Levi Colwill considering Chelsea future

90min have reported that Colwill is considering his future at Chelsea amid concerns over playing time next season.

Chelsea have signed Kalidou Koulibaly, while Paris Saint-Germain’s Presnel Kimpembe and Sevilla’s Jules Kounde are on their radar, which means that the 19-year-old central defender would struggle to play much at the Blues next season.

Blues could sell

90min have reported that the England Under-21 international, who spent last season on loan at Huddersfield Town from Chelsea, ‘will seek an exit either on loan or permanently if a trio of competitors for his position do arrive, and Chelsea will not stand in his way’.

Everton, Leicester City, Fulham, Crystal Palace, Brighton and Hove Albion and Southampton are interested in Colwill, according to 90min, while The Daily Mail reported this week that Arsenal have interests in the teenager.

Gunners transfer unlikely

In our view, it is unlikely that Arsenal will be able to sign Levi Colwill from Chelsea in the summer transfer window.

The Gunners have Ben White and Gabriel as their two main centre-backs, and William Saliba is now also at the disposal of manager Mikel Arteta.

Colwill is only 19, and if playing time in the first team of a Premier League club is what he is after, then it is unlikely that he will get it at Arsenal straightaway,
