Chelsea could rival Tottenham Hotspur for Inter Milan midfielder Matias Vecino.

According to Calciomercato, Chelsea are likely to pursue a swap deal involving Davide Zappacosta and Inter Milan midfielder Matias Vecino, potentially ruining Tottenham’s hopes of signing him.
Over a month since the end of the Premier League season, Chelsea’s managerial situation remains up in the air, with many still expecting to see boss Antonio Conte leave the club.
The Guardian report that Chelsea are nearing a move to land former Napoli boss Maurizio Sarri as their new manager, which will see Conte move on and be replaced by his compatriot.

Sarri will no doubt have big plans for Chelsea in the transfer market, and Calciomercato report that he is likely to pursue a swap deal for Inter Milan midifielder Matias Vecino.
It’s noted that Inter want Chelsea right back Davide Zappacosta, and with Sarri once keen to bring Vecino to Napoli, a swap deal could be in the offing between the two clubs this summer.
The report notes that Tottenham have been pursuing Vecino’s signature and are looking into the possibility of a deal, which is no great surprise as Mauricio Pochettino was linked with signing him from Fiorentina last summer.

However, with Chelsea now plotting their managerial appointment and an enciting swap deal, Tottenham’s hopes of signing Vecino could be ruined by one of their London rivals.
Vecino, 25, is likely to be in action for Uruguay against Saudi Arabia at the World Cup later today, and both Chelsea and Tottenham may be tracking his performance with intent.
