Chelsea could reportedly sign their top striker target, Juventus’ Dusan Vlahovic, for just £21 million, but only if they allow Belgian forward Romelu Lukaku to move to Turin.

That’s according to Italian outlet Corriere dello Sport, who claim that Chelsea can sign Dusan Vlahovic for a relatively small fee, but only if Romelu Lukaku makes the move to Juventus.

The Belgium international striker was on loan at Juventus’s Serie A rivals Inter Milan last season.

A report from another Italian outlet, Corriere della Sera, claims that there remains a gap in valuation for Vlahovic, with Chelsea offering £51 million, but Juventus are demanding £77 million for the Serbian forward.

With Chelsea needing to adhere to Financial Fair Play regulations, Lukaku has emerged as a potential makeweight in the deal.

Despite playing for Inter, Lukaku has reportedly told the Turin giants that he would be open to making the move to Juventus and being able to play under Massimiliano Allegri.

Lukaku for Vlahovic would make sense for both Chelsea and Juventus

With Dusan Vlahovic’s profligacy in front of goal – he scored just 10 times for the Old Lady last season – a move to the Premier League may well give the Serbian a new lease of life.

With the attacking talent that Chelsea have at their disposal, particularly out wide and at number 10, it would, surely, mean chances aplenty for the former Fiorentina man to try and be an instant impact at Stamford Bridge.

For Juventus, a move for Lukaku makes a lot of sense, too.

After Chelsea committed an eye-watering amount of money to sign the Belgian from Inter Milan in 2021 (£97 million), it’s fair to say it has been an unmitigated disaster for the Blues and Chelsea are more than willing sellers.

But, with 10 goals and six assists for Lukaku at Inter, the move would make sense. The 30-year-old would make a great replacement for Juventus and would hit the ground running at the Allianz Stadium.
