Chelsea are looking at Celtic goalkeeper Craig Gordon, after being impressed by the goalkeeper’s form in Glasgow.
According to a report in the Telegraph, Chelsea are considering making a shock move for Celtic goalkeeper Craig Gordon.
Chelsea are on the look out for a new back-up goalkeeper, in case Asmir Begovic does leave this month.
Begovic is said to be of interest to Bournemouth, as he has failed to break into Chelsea’s team ahead of Thibaut Courtois.
And Chelsea are now making a contingency plan, to ensure that they have enough cover for Begovic, if he does opt to move on.
Celtic goalkeeper Gordon is said to be one of three players who they are considering, with Diego Lopez and Fernando Muslera also among the names being discussed.
If Chelsea do move for Gordon, the Telegraph suggest that they could add a sweetener to the deal, by allowing Celtic to loan one of their star youngsters.
Chelsea are said to be willing to offer one of Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Dominic Solanke or Ola Aina to Celtic, in order to push the deal ahead, with Brendan Rodgers being a big fan of all of the trio.
