Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly keen on Gorka Guruzeta.
Gorka Guruzeta of Athletic Bilbao
According to Fichajes, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur are both interested in signing Bilbao Athletic striker Gorka Guruzeta, potentially eyeing him up for a free transfer in 2018.
Athletic’s Basque-only policy has seen a host of top players pass through the club, including current Premier League stars such as Ander Herrera and Fernando Llorente.
With a such a strict policy, bringing young players through has been vital for Athletic, with the Bilbao Athletic side – their reserve team – vital for giving young players first-team football.
Gorka Guruzeta
One player currently thriving for Bilbao Athletic, who play in the third tier of Spanish football, is striker Gorka Guruzeta, who joined from Basconia in 2016.
The 6ft 2in hitman has scored four times in 10 games for Bilbao Athletic this season, and whilst that may put him in contention to eventually play for the first team, the 21-year-old is now attracting interest.
Fichajes report that Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur are both interested in signing Guruzeta in 2018, but rather than push to sign him in January, they may be eyeing him up for a summer move.

It’s claimed that Guruzeta will be a free agent come the end of the season, and the two Premier League sides are allegedly weighing up moves to sign him for nothing.
Both London giants have real pull for young players, but Spurs may well be hoping that the presence of former Athletic Bilbao striker Fernando Llorente can help swing the balance in their favour as Guruzeta becomes a wanted man off the back of his goalscoring record this season.
