Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea are reportedly about to beat Eddie Howe’s Newcastle United to the signing of Tyler Dibling from Southampton.
Fabrizio Romano has reported on Twitter that Chelsea are set to sign Dibling from Premier League rivals Southampton in the summer transfer window.
The well-known and well-respected journalist has claimed that Chelsea will pay the Saints £1.5 million in transfer fees for the England Under-17 international.
Dibling will link up with the Chelsea academy, according to Romano.
This will come as a blow for Newcastle, who have been linked with Dibling as well.

The Shields Gazette reported on June 29 that Newcastle admire the 16-year-old attacking midfielder.
The teenager reportedly impressed Newcastle while playing for Southampton’s Under-18 and Under-16 sides last season.
Chelsea to sign Newcastle target Tyler Dibling from Southampton
One for the future
In our view, Tyler Dibling is one for the future, and it will be interesting to see how the attacking midfielder progresses in the Chelsea youth academy in the coming years.
Now, Chelsea may not always have too many academy graduates in their first team playing regularly, but the former Premier League and UEFA Champions League winners do have a very good youth system and produce quality players.
