Celtic are reportedly closing in on Chelsea’s Charly Musonda.

According to The Telegraph, Chelsea’s Charly Musonda will snub interest from Bournemouth, Leganes and Nottingham Forest in order to sign for Celtic, possibly as early as Monday.
Musonda, 21, was highly regarded with Anderlecht in his native Belgium before heading to Chelsea in 2012, with the Blues snapping up a top young talent.
However, the playmaker has been frustrated in his attempts to play first-team football at Stamford Bridge, making just seven first-team appearances for the Blues, whilst he spent 2016 out on loan at Real Betis.

Now, after no Premier League starts this season, Musonda appears to be heading out on loan again, with The Telegraph reporting that Musonda is set to join Celtic – possibly as early as Monday.
It’s claimed that Musonda will be snubbing interest from Bournemouth, Nottingham Forest and Spanish side Leganes in order to sign for the Bhoys, who attempted to land Musonda over the summer.
The report notes that Musonda is interested in linking up with Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers, who has strong ties to Chelsea having worked for the Blues as a youth coach.

The Belgian will now seemingly head to Glasgow for the remainder of the season in order to continue his development, and Rodgers appears to be excited about the possibility of a deal.
Rodgers has told The Scottish Sun that he feels Musonda is a ‘terrific talent’, and has shown that in flashes for Chelsea of late, but simply said ‘we’ll see’ when asked about a move to Celtic.
“Charly is a big talent, you’ve seen him come on the other day for Chelsea at Brighton,” said Rodgers. “He’s a terrific talent, so we’ll see,” he added.
