The Leeds United defender has recently been linked with a move to West Bromwich Albion.
A report in the Yorkshire Evening Post has suggested that it is likely that Charlie Taylor will still be a Leeds United player when the January transfer window closes.
The Yorkshire Evening Post reports that the 23-year-old submitted a transfer request last summer and his contract at Elland Road expires at the end of the season.

Therefore, news of West Bromwich Albion’s serious interest in the left-back – The Sun recently suggested that a deal was close – may have led some Whites supporters to believe that the end to the saga was imminent.
However, the Yorkshire Evening Post is now adding that sources close to both the player and the club expect the academy graduate to remain with Leeds beyond this month, and instead leave at the end of the campaign when a tribunal fee will be set.
While the Yorkshire Evening Post’s suggestion that an exit is still likely will be a blow to the Leeds supporters who had hoped that the positivity that has been generated during Garry Monk’s tenure may tempt him to reconsider leaving, the fact that he is currently set to stay for the next few months is still a boost.
West Brom have recently been linked with a January move
Taylor is, by some distance, Leeds’ best left-back. And with the January window being notoriously difficult to get any business done, replacing him would have been a huge task for Monk.
Therefore, there is no question that the Peacocks’ chances of promotion are greater by keeping the defender at the club until the matter is taken out of their hands when his contract expires than they would be if they decided to cash in this month.
