West Bromwich Albion want to recoup most of the £8 million they paid for Kenneth Zohore last summer with Neil Warnock keen to reunite with the struggling striker at Middlesbrough, according to TEAMtalk.
While Slaven Bilic’s Baggies finished second in the Championship last season, their big-money striker barely made a dent in the promotion-winning campaign.
In total, Zohore started just five out of 46 league games, scoring three times and slipping behind Charlie Austin, Hal Robson-Kanu and Callum Robinson in the pecking order.
And with Bilic looking to bring Karlan Grant to the Hawthorns after a 19-goal season at Huddersfield Town, all signs suggest Zohore’s West Brom career will be over only 12 months after it began.
The Midlands giants would prefer to sell the former Denmark U21 international, although a short-term exit is also under consideration.

And that is music to the ears of Neil Warnock.
The Boro boss would love to work with Zohore again but, with that £8 million fee well out of their reach, a loan deal could be struck instead.
Zohore played the best football of his career under Warnock at Cardiff, firing the unfancied Bluebirds into the Premier League in 2018.
“He’s a manager’s dream, the first on the team sheet,” Warnock told Alan Brazil on talkSPORT on 28 September, 2017.
