German newspaper Frankfurter Rundschau claim that Eintracht Frankfurt want less than £10million for Japan international Daichi Kamada – amid interest from Tottenham Hotspur this summer.

Kamada, 25, played a crucial part in Frankfurt’s stunning run to the Europa League trophy – which has gained the German side a place in next season’s Champions League. He scored five Europa League goals during 21-22.

That included one at the London Stadium against West Ham in the semi-finals during a 2-1 win. Reports earlier this summer reported that Tottenham want the Japan international, who is predominantly an attacking midfielder.

Now, Frankfurter Rundschau claim that Tottenham can land Kamada for a bargain fee less than £10million. His contract expires in 2023 and Frankfurt are ready to cash in – with Kamada ‘on the verge’ of leaving.

Frankfurt want less than £10million for Kamada amid Tottenham interest

Is he good enough? Spurs are seemingly on the hunt for an attacking midfielder after cooling their interest in Christian Eriksen – who is currently available on a free, with his Brentford contract expiring next week.

Kamada is a top player. Plenty of energy, can play deeper in midfield or out wide. But his stats for Frankfurt during 2021-22 are hardly eye-catching. Spurs can do a lot better and are expected to if they make a signing.

Kamada is cheap at less than £10million but there is a reason Frankfurt are willing to sell so cheap. Yes, he dreams of a Premier League move, but clubs more in mid-table would be better suited.
