ESPN claim Manchester United are ‘convinced’ they can sign their top targets this summer, in Tottenham striker Harry Kane and West Ham ace Declan Rice. They are ready to spend big, even if they fail to get top four.
Kane, 28, reminded all of what he is capable of on Saturday after a stunning performance against United’s Manchester rivals, City. Scoring a brace, Alan Shearer described Kane’s performance as the best he had seen this season.
The England skipper has long been linked with Manchester United, but of course, came close to joining City last summer. Mauricio Pochettino is said to be a consideration for United – a reunion with Kane might be tempting.
Meanwhile, Rice is expected to be one of the biggest talking points in the summer. He has refused to sign a new deal with West Ham as of yet – and depending on West Ham’s finish in the Premier League, he could depart.
ESPN report that Manchester United are willing to spend big in the summer to get their top targets – regardless of Champions League qualification. Of course, United are on pole – sitting in fourth after a win over Leeds United.

Manchester United’s club-record signing is still Paul Pogba. A player that cost the best part of £90million. For Rice and Kane, it is likely both would cost the Old Trafford club a whole lot more than the World Cup winner.
Daniel Levy wanted £150million for Harry Kane last summer. He reminded everyone why on Saturday – and even though he has not been at his best this season, it is unlikely that the stubborn Spurs chief will drop his tag.
Meanwhile, David Moyes has spoken publicly about Rice’s price tag – stating he is of the belief that the England midfielder and Euro 2020 finalist is worth more than £100million. Will United spend that? It seems unlikely.
