According to Cadena SER, Real Madrid actually want Newcastle to take Mariano Diaz off their hands, and would be delighted to receive a bid.
What’s the story?
Well, clubs across Europe are more than aware of Newcastle’s newfound millions, after the arrival of Amanda Staveley, Jamie Reuben and the Public Investment Fund of Saudi Arabia (PIF).
The Magpies have £190m to spend, and clearly, some clubs are hoping the Toon Army take their unwanted players away.
Cadena SER refer to a report from TEAMtalk, although they provide their own information through the form of speech.
Translated by Sport Witness, Cadena SER journalist Álvaro de Grado said: “With this offer, it’s certain that Real Madrid do not think, that they’d be delighted.”
Interestingly, Newcastle were actually offered Diaz back in August, according to Jeunes Footeux.
Unsurprisingly, Mike Ashley and Steve Bruce failed to bring the Dominican Republic international to Tyneside at the time.
What could Mariano Diaz offer Newcastle?

Real Madrid spent £33m on the 28-year-old, and a club of that stature do not splash such a sum on just anyone.
Diaz is an exciting forward, although he has found life difficult under Carlo Ancelotti so far this season, and is yet to play a single second of football.
However, if PIF can get him to St James’ Park, the Magpies would have a striker whose shooting ability has been likened to Harry Kane.

It was The Coaches’ Voice who made the claim, writing that Diaz likes to keep his shots low and hard, while also trying to add some bounce to deceive the goalkeeper.
It’s a technique which The Coaches’ Voice also compared to Jermain Defoe.
Keep an eye on this saga, as it seems Real Madrid are desperate to offload their No.24.
