According to Citta Celeste, Lazio have resumed negotiations with Arsenal over the signing of Shkodran Mustafi.
The Gunners are seemingly having a January clear-out, and have already managed to shift Mesut Ozil and Sokratis Papastathopoulos from the wage bill.
Now, it looks as if Mustafi might be the next Arsenal player to leave the Emirates.
Citta Celeste don’t really say much more about the Germany international, apart from the fact that Lazio have resumed negotiations over him.
The Italian news outlet primarily focuses on other centre-back alternatives for the Champions League outfit, such as Inter Milan’s Andrea Ranocchia.

Hopefully, for Arsenal’s sake, Lazio decide to pursue Mustafi over their other choices.
The former Everton man is taking £90,000-a-week from the Gunners, and isn’t even playing much football under Mikel Arteta.
Mustafi has played just 45 minutes in the Premier League this season across three substitute appearances, and seems surplus to requirements.

His situation represents a real transfer blunder from Arsenal.
Since spending £35 million on his services in 2016, the Gunners have never really got value for their money.
His stint in north London has largely been a failure, and Arsenal won’t really miss the 28-year-old that much once he’s gone, in our view.
