Spanish outlet Super Deporte claim that La Liga side Sevilla have tabled an offer of £7million to sign Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos. But the Ibrox club are set to reject that, and request another £4million for his services.
Sevilla are on the lookout for reinforcements and while they are not skint, cash is limited with Julen Lopetegui’s side. They need to use what they have wisely, perhaps seeing them turn towards Colombia international Morelos.

The 26-year-old is out of contract at the end of the 2022-23 season. Reports earlier this week stated that if Rangers could not agree a new deal, then the ex-Helsinki man would be allowed to go. Newcastle and Villa are keen.
But Sevilla have stolen a march on any Premier League clubs in the race for Morelos, by tabling a bid of £7million. However, Rangers want £11million for Morelos. A compromise is surely likely for the striker.
Sevilla have tabled offer to sign Rangers striker Morelos
Even at £11million, Morelos is a bargain. Many will point to the fact that 68 of his 113 Rangers goals have come in the Scottish Premiership – a division far below the standard of Europe’s top five domestic competitions.
But Morelos has proven in the Europa League he is worthy of a club like Sevilla. He is the record European goalscorer at Rangers, scoring 33 goals in 63 games – and laying on a very impressive 17 assists.
It is a move that is good all round. Rangers will get themselves an eight-figure fee for a player in the final 12 months of his deal, Sevilla sign a top-quality striker and he joins a big team. That is, if Sevilla meet Rangers’ asking price.
