Celtic’s interest in the Wigan Athletic winger Jamal Lowe is ‘believed to be stronger’ than that of Cardiff City and Millwall, according to Wigan Today.
The Daily Mail reported last month that Lowe was a target for Celtic, Cardiff and Millwall after Wigan entered administration, which resulted in the Latics’ relegation from the Championship.
And if what Wigan Today says is true, it is the Bhoys who lead the pursuit.
Wigan are reported to have paid £2 million for Lowe a year ago, and were rewarded with six goals and five assists in his 46 league appearances.
It is unclear, however, how much he is likely to cost now, with several of his teammates seemingly on the verge of cut-price moves in light of the club’s predicament.
Lowe, who played for Portsmouth and a string of non-league clubs before joining the Lancastrians, is one of several wide players on whom Celtic are said to be keen on signing this summer.

The Bhoys are not currently short of options in the 26-year-old’s position, however, despite the departures of Daniel Arzani and Jonny Hayes at the end of last season.
Another winger, Mohamed Elyounoussi, has already renewed his loan spell at Celtic from Southampton.
Celtic fans – would Lowe be a good addition?
