The 13-year-old hit the headlines after appearing for the Scottish Premiership champions’ under-20s side.

Both Manchester United and Manchester City are amongst the cluster of European heavyweights who have been scouting Celtic wonderkid Karamoko Dembele, The Scottish Sun reports.

The 13-year-old is, understandably, yet to make an appearance for the Hoops’ first-team, but is arguably already one of the most famous faces in their squad after incredibly making his debut in an under-20 clash against their Hearts counterparts earlier this week.

But while Monday’s game – which saw the youngster brought on for the final 10 minutes – would have been the first time that most people would have heard of Dembele, it appears that he is already well known to some of Europe’s biggest clubs.

The Scottish Sun claims that scouts from the two Manchester clubs, as well as Premier League rivals Chelsea have been monitoring his progress, while Barcelona and Bayern Munich are also keeping an eye on the teenager.

Though the Bhoys will surely be excited about what the prospect can go on to achieve in the future, they may now be concerned about the spotlight that is on him, and what impact that amount of attention will have on his development.

Celtic fans know all too well the frustration that can come when a hugely talented youngster departs and subsequently fails to realise their potential, having watched Islam Feruz leave for Chelsea in 2011. While the 21-year-old remains with the Blues, he is yet to make a first-team appearance for the club in the top flight and is yet to score a league goal during any of his loan spells.

And with that in mind, the Hoops will surely be doing everything they can to convince Dembele that staying put is the best decision for his career.
