Celtic could be prepared to sell Jozo Simunovic during the January transfer window, and Burnley are keeping an eye on his situation.

Simunovic has endured a mixed time since joining the Hoops in 2015. The 23-year-old has sometimes looked like the best centre-back option available to Brendan Rodgers, but the tag of being somewhat unreliable due to injury has probably not quite left him during his time at Parkhead.

In fairness to the centre-back, he played 33 times last season and has made 19 appearances so far this term, but perhaps there is a chance that he may have already played his final game for Celtic.

While it is not clear whether they would be willing to pay, the Mail adds that Burnley are monitoring his situation as Sean Dyche looks to bolster his options after a brilliant first-half of the season in the Premier League.
Given that Simunovic has probably not been at his best over a prolonged period this term – his last appearance for the club, if he does leave during the early stages of this month, will have come in the 4-0 defeat to Hearts in December – there may not be too many Celtic fans who will be disappointed if a £7 million bid does come in, especially if Rodgers adds to his own options during the window.
