The Scottish Premiership side are keen to get rid of the defender.
Celtic’s Efe Ambrose
Celtic are willing to let Efe Ambrose leave Parkhead for free as they desperately try to get him off their books before the transfer window closes, according to the Daily Record.
The Hoops had initially wanted £1m for the centre-back, the Record reports, but with time running out before the deadline, it appears that Brendan Rodgers is prepared to sanction a move that would see him leave for nothing.

The Record adds that Bundesliga side Schalke are one of the few clubs still monitoring his situation, and it seems likely that they would be able to pay the £10,000 a week contract that he is supposedly seeking, but it remains to be seen whether their interest materialises into a firm offer.
Regardless of whether a move does end up taking place, the fact that Ambrose is being offered out on a free transfer arguably confirms that the Nigeria international has no future under Rodgers.
Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers
The 27-year-old looked set to be given a chance under the former Liverpool boss, despite previously struggling under his predecessor Ronny Deila, as he started the Bhoys’ Champions League qualifier with Lincoln Red Imps.
However, since the humiliation in Gibraltar – Celtic lost 1-0 in the first-leg with Ambrose taking much of the blame for the only goal – the defender has been picked just once more in competitive games.
And with Rodgers seemingly preferring to deploy right-back Mikael Lustig in the middle rather than select Ambrose, it appears that whether he moves or not, he may well have played his final game for the club already.
