Celtic are interested in Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay, but the transfer remains a long way off.

According to the Daily Record, Celtic will only sign Scott McTominay if three players depart.
Celtic do have tentative interest in signing McTominay from Manchester United on loan, but Brendan Rodgers does not want to push for a deal yet.
Celtic still need to offload players before they make any move to sign the Scottish international.
Celtic have put Scott Allan, Eboue Kouassi and Nir Bitton up for sale this month, and McTominay will only join if the trio all leave Parkhead.

While Allan’s departure from Celtic is now inevitable, as he has signed a pre-contract at Hibernian, Kouassi and Bitton are still part of the Bhoys squad.
And although Rodgers would be open to offloading them, Celtic need to find buyers for the pair.
If Celtic do not manage to offload Kouassi or Bitton then Celtic could avoid making a move for McTominay, as they stick with their current options in midfield.
