Neil Lennon’s Celtic are still keeping tabs on Aberdeen’s Scottish Premiership defender Scott McKenna.

Celtic are still interested in Scott McKenna but they will only move for the Aberdeen defender if either Kristoffer Ajer or Jozo Simunovic leave the club before the end of this month, according to the Bristol Post.
At the age of just 22, McKenna has already established himself as one of the most complete young defenders in Britain. He’s excellent in the air, composed on the ball and a natural-born leader. He even captained Scotland in only his fourth international appearance.
So no wonder there’s so much interest. Nottingham Forest have failed with a £3 million bid while Bristol City are big fans of McKenna too with The Robins looking to replace Brighton-bound Adam Webster at Ashton Gate.
The youngster handed in a transfer request this week but Aberdeen are determined to hang onto their prized asset, demanding upwards of £5 million.
Celtic have a history when it comes to snapping up their rivals’ key players, raiding The Dons for Johnny Hayes in 2017, and it is no surprise that this all-action centre-half has caught their eye.

According to the Daily Record, Lille are set to make a new bid for Simunovic while Brendan Rodgers wants to reunite with Ajer at Leicester City, as reported by The Sun.
But unless one or perhaps both of these deals happen, Aberdeen can sleep easy. As it stands, it looks like Derek McInnes will be able to call upon Scotland’s best young defender for another 12 months.
