Brendan Rodgers’ Celtic side are keen to snap up Timothy Castagne in January.

Castagne has become Celtic’s top target in January, with Rodgers wanting the full-back to improve his side’s defence.
Celtic are prepared to pay £6 million for the right-back, who has impressed in Serie A.
However, Atalanta are not currently interested in selling, which makes Celtic task of completing a deal a complicated one.
Rodgers is reportedly eager to change the Italian side’s mind, and still believes that a deal could be possible.

But Celtic are going to have to step up their interest, if they are to stand a chance of snapping up the 23-year-old.
If Castagne is brought in at Celtic he would likely slot straight into their first-team.
Mikael Lustig has not had his most convincing season, and Castagne could be a real upgrade at Parkhead.
