Glasgow Rangers loanee Emerson Hyndman has made a big impression at Ibrox, and has now caught Celtic’s eye.
Rangers’ Emerson Hyndman in action with Celtic’s Scott Brown
A report in the Sunday Mail has suggested that Celtic are considering targeting Rangers loanee Emerson Hyndman this summer.
The midfielder moved to Ibrox from Bournemouth during the January transfer window and has certainly made a big impression with the Gers, having scored four goals in nine Scottish Premiership games.
That form has seemingly attracted Celtic’s attention, as The Sunday Mail reports that they have made an enquiry to the Cherries about doing a deal for Hyndman in the summer.
Interestingly, despite the success he has enjoyed during his time with Rangers, the Mail adds that Bournemouth could be willing to sanction a deal for the 20-year-old who they signed for £750,000 in 2016.
Although Hyndman has only been with the Light Blues for a short period of time, it would undoubtedly be a controversial move if he ended up playing for the Hoops next season.

The American has been fantastic since joining Rangers, especially during the most recent Old Firm game when his vicious strike late on saw Craig Gordon parry the ball into the path of Clint Hill, who then proceeded to find the back of the net for the equaliser.
However, it should also come as little surprise that Celtic do want to sign him. He is clearly capable of shining in the Scottish game and should only continue to get better over the coming years, and has been on the Bhoys’ radar before having been the focus of their attention shortly before his departure for the Vitality Stadium last year (via Daily Record).
