According to The Chronicle, Celtic are interested in snapping up Newcastle United goalkeeper Freddie Woodman this summer.
The Bhoys have been attempting to re-sign Fraser Forster after a successful loan spell from Southampton, but he has snubbed a loan return.
That means Celtic have to look elsewhere. Ironically, 10 years since first taking Forster on loan from Newcastle, they could repeat the trick.
It’s claimed that Celtic are keen on Newcastle stopper Woodman, with the Magpies potentially willing to let him go out on loan again next season.
Woodman is currently on loan at Swansea City, where he has impressed this season. Now 23, Woodman is at a crossroads at Newcastle.
The Magpies not only have Martin Dubravka and Karl Darlow, but have also just signed Mark Gillespie from Motherwell to be their new third-choice stopper.

Newcastle may hope to keep Woodman happy by loaning him out again and again, giving him first-team football until he’s ready to play at Newcastle.
Celtic may feel they can give Woodman playing time next season, but could also hope to eventually sign him permanently – just as they did with Forster.
