Celtic are hoping to swoop in and land Derby County loanee Fikayo Tomori.

According to the Sunday Mirror (19/05, p66), Celtic are interested in bringing Chelsea defender Fikayo Tomori to Parkhead on a permanent basis this summer.
The Bhoys saw contract rebel Dedryck Boyata secure a move to Hertha Berlin over the weekend, and with Filip Benkovic set to return to Leicester City, a new centre back is needed.
A number of players have already been linked with Celtic despite not having a permanent manager in place, and Tomori can be added to the list.
The Sunday Mirror (19/05, p66) claim that Celtic want Tomori, having been impressed with his display on loan at Derby County this season.
It’s noted that Tomori may be keen to return to Derby if they win promotion, but Celtic are keen to test the water with a permanent move fro the centre back.
Tomori, 21, is another Chelsea youngster who has struggled to play first-team football at Stamford Bridge, playing just one game for the Blues whilst going out on loan to Brighton and Hove Albion, Hull City and now Derby.

Able to play for Canada, England or Nigeria at international level, Tomori is a wanted man all over right now, and he has gained a lot by playing alongside veteran Richard Keogh this season.
He fits a similar kind of bill to Boyata, as Celtic brought him in from Manchester City’s reserves in 2015, and helped him flourish, so a move to Parkhead – with Champions League football – should be appealing to Tomori.
