Bournemouth are reportedly ready to step up their interest in Celtic midfielder Callum McGregor.

McGregor has been sensational for the Hoops this season. The 25-year-old has made more Scottish Premiership appearances than any of his Bhoys teammates, scoring once and providing five assists in the top flight.
He has stepped in superbly since Scott Brown picked up an injury against Hibernian in October, and has managed to keep the captain out of the side since his return.
But it appears that he may not be at Parkhead for much longer. The Sun on Sunday (09/12; page 57) reports that the Cherries have been watching McGregor for months and had scouts present for the League Cup final win against Aberdeen.

The report adds that Eddie Howe is now ready to step up their interest in the midfielder after Cook suffered a season-ending injury, and Bournemouth will not hesitate to meet Celtic’s £10 million asking price for the academy graduate.
It would be a huge loss for the Hoops to lose McGregor given his form over the last couple of years. He has established himself as one of the most important members of Brendan Rodgers’ squad, so his departure would leave a big void.
And there are likely to be plenty of Celtic fans who would argue that the Hoops should be demanding more than £10 million from a Premier League side as replacing McGregor is not going to be an easy task for Rodgers if he does go.
